Churchyard Mews
Residential Development
Redeveloping a redundant church into townhouses in a semi-rural village is a unique challenge, especially within a tight site. The design of five townhouses with flexible living arrangements offers a thoughtful solution for modern living while respecting the site's history.
Drawing visual cues from the former church, particularly through neo-gothic elements and window patterns that evoke ecclesiastical forms, helps to maintain a connection to the original structure. Incorporating traditional brick detailing to reflect the church’s adornments also honours the past while creating new homes for future generations.
