Wergs Manor
Residentioal Refurbishment, Historic, Listed
Wergs Manor is a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian (and later Victorian extended) dwelling set in the rolling countryside of north Hampshire. Appropriately extended with a single storey Garden Room and Boot Room in the early 21st Century, the property has been owned by the same family for over a decade.

The new custodians who have recently purchased the house for their family approached us for our expertise in navigating the complex and often tricky planning system in order to gain a series of approvals for carefully planned alterations including; external renovations of the lime render and fenestration, a new outdoor lap swimming pool, removal of the aforementioned single storey Boot Room and some careful internal remodelling of the historic interior.
Whilst Wergs Manor looks extremely beautiful on approach, up close the mix of inappropriate Concrete render and failing Lime render, weather staining and degradation to the timber windows hint at work needing to be done to preserve this beautiful property for decades to come. Our client is fortunately acutely aware of the need for a very sensitive renovation of materials.

We have successfully gained 3 of the 4 planning applications at the time of writing with the last planning application due to be determined shortly.
